Having called Southport home for over fifty years, Silcock’s Funland is a seasoned regular on the entertainment scene of this Victorian gem.

The Silcock empire is a fifth-generation family business which began over one hundred years ago and has expanded into a small but mighty entertainment empire, with amusements across Southport and Blackpool. Located near to Marine Lake, Silcock’s Funland dominates the landscape with its whimsical exterior that harks back to Southport’s heyday as one of the top holiday destinations for British families. With a carousel of hobby horses, or, Golden Gallopers, outside its doors, the amusement centre is enticing to all those who pass by.

The Funland is a haven for holidaying families and a particular treat for children who can enjoy the old-school amusements from arcade games including roulette, hook-a-duck and claw machines to a casino for the older visitors. There is enough to do inside here to keep the family entertained for hours and snack bars inside the centre and outside offer guests everything from sandwiches and sugared doughnuts to fish and chips.

For many in the North West, a visit to Southport Pleasureland is a fond memory of childhood summers gone by, which is why generation after generation continue to experience its thrills.
Its exciting rides and seaside location make the perfect destination for those who want to experience a fantastic family day out. The traditional funfair rides at Southport Pleasureland would excite even the least bold and brave of the family, with the Log Flume, Dodgems and Go Karts, sparking memories for the mums and dads who will have visited the funfair as a child, no doubt.

One of the best features of the park for large families is the free admission and ability to take your own food and drink, allowing parents to save where they can. Visitors to the park pay ride tokens instead of an admission fee, coming in particularly handy for those who may be less adventure seekers and more coat-holders!
